Historical Question - Boot's In-House Hair Laser Salons, what happened?

About a decade ago, Boots opened up a chain of salons(within their shops) offering laser hair removal. After seemingly like a year or two, they vanished. Does anyone know why they shut? Thank you.

My guess would be because the £ profit per sq ft of floorspace wasn't as high as some other stuff they could sell.

Similar story with their flirtation with dentistry.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

^^ and apparently they tried a chain of their own gyms some time ago too, (read this in the retail appointments magazine) it was about 10 years ago and just didn't work out and the clubs were pulled.

They had their own men's hair salons once too. :)
