Meluna sanitary cup

I'm looking to change my sanitary wear to a menstrual cup. I have to be wise about what I spend so I would hate to 'buy into a fad'as DH puts it, I've read so much about how good the Mooncup is but it is more expensive than the Meluna cup.
Does anybody have any Meluna experiences they would wish to share? I'm so nearly ready to buy Mooncup but I am now a penny pincher and the prospect of saving a fiver is a major factor. Do you know how many teabags that would buy this stay at home mum! Haha. Thanks in advance and sorry if you're reading this while tucking into your sandwich.

I know this is an oldish thread now, but I'm buying a Meluna! I've got a mooncup and I love it, but I feel it's slightly too long for me. I've seen a size comparison site and the meluna is the pretty much the same diameter at the top, but a lot shorter. This site compares them if you're interested.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

ooh interesting! i've been using a mooncup for 4 years now but I do find it occasionally uncomfortable although I've cut the stem right down; I might try the meluna with no stem at all as its smaller; and I have never used the stem anyway. However i have the bad(?) habit of only emptying it once a day - wouldn't want to change this but as I don't have a very heavy flow it should be OK, even though its smaller (they don't give any size guidance though so not sure what size to buy). I like that the meluna doesn't have raised patterns on - should make it easier to clean - and the colours too!0

There's also a page with a size guide; the mooncup holds 30ml but the meluna holds about half that.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
