Bankruptcy for the second time anyone else?

Hi,
Going BR on Wed 19th and I'm not expecting an easy ride as I was BR 11 years ago from a voluntary house repo from the early 90's (17% mortgage interest!)Stuck an IVO out for years before my OH and me decided to chuck it in and go BR.The wife's been good with her money but I went downhill when I went self employed a few years ago.Loans for vans/ CC etc.Paying them all off nicely till things started going quite.
Anyway
Anybody else ben BR more than once within the 15 years, have been told to expect at least 3 years BR rather than the 1 from debt advice.
Fair enough,I can live with that, dont expect to see any credit cards ever again (i'm 50 now)!
Also would I expect my mobile contract to cease?
Would be a pain, as most of my customers have my existing number, guess theres no way of keeping the number if I go PAYG ?
If anybody's interested i'll let you know if I come out dead or alive!

Who has been giving you that advice, the bankruptcy will be for no more than 1 year as long as you are co-operative. Since the bankruptcy was more than 6 years ago and under the old rules you will be treated exactly the same way as anyone who was going bankrupt for the first time

Whoever told you that is seriously out of date.

Second/subsequent bankruptcies are now discharged after one year like any other.

If the mobile payment is up to date then most people get to keep them

And if not you can keep the same number on PAYG you just need to speak to your service provider, doesn't take more than 2 days to port the number over. I've done it a few times, last time I did it, it took no more than a day.
