Who do I send my cheque to now???

I've had the following responses from my creditors :

Halifax - accepted pro-rata payments till 2nd October payment
Tescos - have sent me a default notice which they say they have to do this by law before they can look at pro-rata payments
John Lewis - asked for 3 mths worth of salary slips & copy of tenancy agreement, but not heard since
Barclaycard - sent abrupt letter asking me to pay 'as my statements say'
Barclays - for my o/draft & loan have said my offers were not acceptable and that it was being passed onto a debt recovery firm.

I assume that I still pay Halifax, John Lewis and Tescos.

I'm just a bit unsure about Barclays and Barclaycard. I assume I still just pay my pro-rata offer to Bcard and see what they come back with.

As for Barclays I'm really unsure who to send my pro-rata offers to - with Barclays saying they're passing my debt on - do I send it to Barclays (to pay my account even though it's been frozen I think) as it's been a couple of weeks at least since they sent this letter.

Are you going it alone or are you with a debt management company?

At the moment I'm doing it on my own.

I've got a meeting with a debt specialist at my local CAB on the 13 September to go through things more.

i would recommend makin token payments of £1 to those that have refused and make the agreed payments to the others. If you can afford more than a pound then pro rata that across them. This shows a continued willingness to repay the debt and if things came to a head would go in your favour. Whatever you do don't be coerced into paying more than you can afford.

Try CCCS or Payplan as CAB aren't always the best ( no disrepect to them)
