Hi
Did anyone watch this programme this week. She showed a way of pickling courgettes and other veg (not chutney) but I can't find the recipe on the website. Did anyone make a note? If not I will have to re-watch on iplayer!
Note to self - always have notebook and pen to hand when watching these progs!
Ta:)

Hi, can anyone please tell me what these flowers are in Alys's garden - they are kind of old fashioned pink colour, they are quite high and there's a lot of them just by the path in her garden, and I would like to know what they are. Can someone help please? Thank you.

thanks - had to rewatch on iplayer. She doesn't give any quantities but basically the preserving liquid for the veg pickle was cider apple vinegar, concentrated apple juice, fine slices of garlic, cinnamon, juniper, carraway, bay and rosemary - add chunks of courgette and a chilli - pack tight in jar and top up with the liquid. Sounds great - usually have masses of courgettes, so am always looking for new ideas.
Don't grow cabbage, so probably won't make sauerkraut.Weight loss - here we go again - watch this space!

Hi,
There is a book out for the series. Perhaps the recipe is in there. You could always have a nosey at it in a bookshop and see!
