You can use the double-sided griddle pan for steaks or paninis, you can open it up to 180 degrees to use as an indoor BBQ for sausages, burgers and so on, or you can use it as an oven by sliding across the floating hinge to suspend the top plate above the bottom one - great for cheese on toast!
