I can't quite seem to get my head round this site. Granted my threads have been less than thrilling but maybe they're in the wrong place or something.
I've got the same feeling I had when I joined new schools.....everybody are mates.:(
There seem to be a lot of long running threads that I can't understand.

            Hi randomer,
There are plenty of regulars that come here to give advice, but there are alot of new members that join all the time and post on here. This forum DFW is quite a busy area and a post at 8am can be 10+ pages back by 8pm on the evening.
If you pop up a topic like this one and post your problems or were you need help, people will reply.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0

you're not the only one, I feel the same sometimes lol
I just go randomly stick my ore into the big threads, then retreat back into anonimity. I've used many forums in my time so it doesn't really worry me whether there are "cliques" - people speaking on the same subjects over a period of time will get to know one another, its just the nature of the world.
try to join in more, find one or two people who often join in on the same threads as you and then get chatting to them. Everybody is welcome - just get stuck in!
There are often "quiet" periods on here, but keep "bumping" and you will get responses even if it's someone saying hello.
I often read a thread and find I can't help so don't post and maybe that's what others do. If you want help though, everyone will always help and be non-judgemental.
Generally, I find everyone very helpful and friendly so just jump in! I've actually joined other forums and find this one the nicest.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
