I just cannot foresee a time when I won't have this millstone round my neck.
I have opened another bank account which is going to be our main one and pay the debt off bit by bit.
Just feel a bit down today ......the news is all gloom and doom. I wish I could manage my finances better.:(
I knew a couple of weeks ago I'd lost control and sure enough the O/D has mounted up again.

Hi there!

I was in the same position as you! It's much easier to pay off an overdraft once it is kept away from your incomings/outgoings. Just treat it as another bill to pay and it won't feel half as bad.
Keeping your new current account in good order is now your main priority!
Have you worked out how much you'll pay each month to it and therefore when you'll be rid of it? Might be sooner than you think!0 -
Yeah your're right once it is away from the general pot I will just chip away at it. And try not to get into a mess again.0

Could you not open another account to pay your bills from transfer x amount to it and just use that. Leaving x amount in to pay down your overdraft?I'm Debt Free :j 2/09/2013

Chin up randomer, we all have good days and bad, just think, by facing your debts you're doing the best thing....and although you had a bit of a 'loss of control' moment, you know what the consequences are so you'll be less likely to do it next time.
Hugs,
