Will a debt management plan impact on my AAT membership?

Ok, so I've finally decided to do something about my spiralling debt and get in touch with CCCS. It seems the only way forward is to set up a DMP to pay off my credit card debts of £3500.

Does anyone know how the DMP will affect my AAT membership? :)

might be worth checking with tutor, or the AAT..

if you get an agreed plan in place, that counts as homework, right? not sure if any CCJ's lodged, though..

if your credit card debts are only £3,500, I would put your statement of Affairs n here and see what can be done to sort it out.

i do not believe a DMP counts against you since in all reality it is a voluntary agreement between your creditors and yourself to pay your debts back at a affordable rate so long as you live within certain restrictions - and all it shows up on your credit file is as a default!

now a CCJ or IVA or bankruptcy would not be good but a DMP should be fine, but i would at least talk to your tutor or even ask on the AAT forums :D as i would hope if anyone would know they would
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

    No you would be fine.

If you work in an accountancy practice and got any CCJs as a result of the DMP then you would need to declare them on the annual 'fit and proper' forms, but they should not actually affect your qualification or membership admittance (or your job for that matter).

But I agree with RAS, it may be possible to come up with another option anyway. Can you post your statement of affairs? http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
