CCA Letter

as some of you may or may not know i sent a letter to cap quest asking for a copy of the cca as they were chasing me for £340 on behalf of hsbc. i gave them the 28 days and this morning i had this in the post

We write to you in regards that you have requested a copy of the cca.
we have failed to received a response to your request therefore the ccount has been passed back to hsbc and placed on long term hold pending their reply.
any suggestions what to do next? Do i send a letter requesting the cca to HSBC now?
i dont think it is fair that this could be placed on hold for long period of time i want to get this sorted now.

if you request it from HSBC you run the risk of them finding it! So it's a personal choice- leave it and hope it goes away, chase it and see if it surfaces or goes away for good.

It sounds like cap quest have asked HSBC for the cca, but they haven't replied, so the account has been passed back.

I'm guessing here, but you could try writing to HSBC saying that as they haven't replied you consider the matter closed. Permanently. That might get a response, if nothing else?
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
