This might be a rather odd thing to say and not sure if other people of agree but...
I really do love and enjoy saving and budgeting
OH took me out to dinner last night and we were talking about our first holiday together which will be mid-late September and he said we will have to start putting money aside for spending and to pay the hotel when we get there.
He suggested he may use an old pasta pot we have and put a set amount of cash in there a week / month.
Not sure why, but I got really excited! Not about the holiday (VERY excited about that too) but more so for the thought of putting money aside!
Maybe I am just a little bit wierd but I much rather put money aside now than spend it all on clothes, material things etc.
I'm looking at this as a good sign to start my saving journey... :j

Since i started on the DF journey I've got stupidly excited about putting £2 coins away and I end uop re counting them regularly. For the first time ever budgeting for car m.o.t and insurance on a monthly basis feels great too- i love seeing the money going up every month and knowing we don't have to worry as much about massive one off expenses.
