Hi ageandjo,
If you can, skim off any fat and keep it in the fridge for making roast potatoes. I'd either use the juices in the madras or freeze them and use them as stock next time you make soup...don't forget to keep the bone for making stock too.

Yes that's what I'd do. Once it's cooled, put the jug in the fridge and the fat will rise to the top and harden, then you can just lift it off.

Don't give cooked bones to a dog. Cooked bones are likely to splinter and shard-like splinters can cause internal damage
OK to give a dog raw bones - but preferably chewable ones, like chicken. The dog will grind these into a pulp to swallow them. Avoid huge, hard raw bones - the dog can't chew them so they're of no benefit and they may break the dog's teeth.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
Agenandjo, I've found out of all the meats I've done in the SC I don't really like doing lamb in it. I found it too fatty and greasy and sort of sits in a lot of fatty fluid. Can you tell I have a thing about fatty meat.:D It's excellent for other cuts although I do brown my meat/chicken first. Good luck with the experiments. Your'e doing well.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0
