Higher VAT will hurt more than any tax break for the less well off. The rich NEVER lose under the Tories - that's why they vote for them - and tell their readers to vote for them.

95% of MSEers will be worse off.

I'm curious to know how the rich lost under Labour ? Didn't the wealth gap increase under the previous administration ?

Before getting carried away. At 65 a pensioners personal tax allowance is already £9,490. So its not the giveaway it seems.

As allowances were frozen for the current tax year pensioners on fixed incomes have already suffered a reduction in income.
