Cashback offers using link from this site

I recently used a link from this website to change from swalec to british gas. I was told that by using the link I would get a cashback cheque for £30. The changeover was completed by the beginning of February and I have in fact recieved my first bill from BG. Is this cashback offer a scam. I have still not recieved a cheque.

Which service did you use and have you actually contacted them to ask about it?

To be honest I can't remember I wanted to change anyway as swalec was again rising my dd again and used this site and clicked on a link on here which said Something like "use this link to get £30 cashback when changing gas and electric suppliers"

If you can work out which switching web site it was, make sure you contact them to sort out your cash back as the supplier can do nothing about it :(

You always have to be careful with offers like that. Sad but true.

The only site offering £30 cashback is moneysupermarket and they will only ever pay it once per household, so if you have ever claimed it before they wont pay out.

Give them a ring and enquire about it, despite what the poster above says there really isnt that many problems with the cashback links above, I very much doubt Martin would be recommending them if there was a major problem.

They say it does typically take 2-3 months after the switch happens before paying ... although can take up to 6 months.

I agree it would be worthwhile contacting them now to check on the current progress.

Thanks for your replies I took your advice and e mailed money supermarket and received the following reply :-

    "Thank You for your email.
We pay cashback normally up to 3 months after switch over has completed.
Your cashback is due to be paid no later than the end of this month.
This is paid directly into your Bank Account.
Please note that this payment is only once per household-"

    So it looks ok
    Cheers
    Bill
