Hi my son works part time for a 'reputable' company. He had been asked to cover shifts for shich he has not yet been paid. The money is outstanding from Jan 2010, total of around 50 hours. When asked his manager blames head office for not putting it through and every month says it will be in this months payslip, of course it never is!!
Apparently several others are in the same position.
Any advice on what he can do to recover the money he is owed?

The victims we know so well
They shine in your eyes
When they kiss and tell
Strange places we never see
But you're always there
Like a ghost in my dream

Your next stage is to either speak with your manager's manager, Head Office Payroll Department, or HR Department (assuming they have one)."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

If you have exhausted all options chasing them for payment. I would send a 'letter of intent' to the manager basically setting out that if this matter isn't sorted out and money owed paid to your son that you will instruct your solicitor to go through the small claims court after seven days. Keep a copy of the letter for your records and send it recorded post so he can't deny that he never reveived your letter. Forogot to say you don't need to say 'instructed your solicitor as you could file the claim yourslef online or through the post.if i had known then what i know now0
