I received a call from RMA this morning, the guy on the phone made no references to them being a collection agency. He asked me to run through some security questions, I refused because I didnt know who they were, he said they were working for a client but would not say who until I had answered security questions!
He said they were sending a letter today, I suppose they will have to now, and I said I'd talk with them then, although I wont I do not conduct any import affairs over the phone.
I am in debt with Barclays so I assume this is to do with them, although I had previously made a request under the Data Protection Act that they remove my telephone number from their records, which they said they had done. So I am wondering if RMA is acting on behalf or has bought my debt from them have they broken the Act?
I have told Barclays that I will not discuss this over the phone, and that one of the reasons is that I am mentally ill, I have also sent them proof of this. I have been paying them back at a sum I can afford every month, but everything I try and do to resolve this situation gets thrown back in my face. I have contacted the FOS but they are next to useless. Don't know what to do next!

Wait and see what the letter says. If its not clear on it what debt they are trying to collect then start by sending the prove it letter - and also send them a letter about only communicating in writing.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
