defered super an pension

I am trying to access my defered local govt pension from a previous employer. I applied in January but so far am having no luck at all. The latest from the ex employer is that it is unlikely they will release my pension. Can someone (anyone) please direct me to the info so I can support my request. Many thanks

What do you mean by 'access'? Start receiving? Transfer into a new pension scheme? Or something else?

You may have confused them with terminology (or they you) or it may just be either against the rules or using discretion they are not prepared to exercise just yet.

A bit more detail would help.
