I have 5 debts and have just looked at my credit report on Experian and 2 of them are not even on there - would there be a reason for this. I have moved abroad and had no contact with them for 12 months, I am now in a position to begin paying them, I thought I would look to see how much I owe back but can't see them on there, my other 3 debts are there but my 2 big ones to Abbey Credit card and M&S credit card do not exist?? can anyone shed any light on this

Or maybe.....
- For some reason they are not being linked to your current file. Do the previous addresses you supplied for the report match exactly the ones that these debt were held at?
- The debts may have been 'sold' on. Frequently when that happens the credit report entry for the original debt is removed. It should then be replaced by one in the name of the company that took it over, but it doesn't always happen properly.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

They choose not to report to any CRA at all.

Just check that your credit report has been produced using all of your UK addresses over the past six years. If this is the case, you can ask Experian's Customer Support Centre to check to see whether there are possible discrepancies with one of your addresses that might be causing your data to not be picked up. Failing that, you should check direct with those lenders, although you might prefer not to!
