im robert and a single partent who is unemployed, i have £16,000 spread over 5 credit cards and an overdraught, i have heard there are debt advisors who contact your creditors and make arrangements for you to pay what is within your budget and get them to freeze your interest. Im in scotland so the rules may differ from other countries in the uk.
has anyone been in this situation and sought help, i cant afford to pay my credit cards, i intended to clear my debt with money from my mortgage but im not working now and i need to do something about these cards. I cant do anything with my mortgage without a job.

Hi Bertie
I think you should speak with one of the debt charities from the stickie at the top of the forum, it would also be helpful if you posted a SOA (another stickie at top of forum) and the kind and experienced peeps on here can have a look and perhaps advise a way round your problems. Debt in Scotland is processed a bit differently from England and the rest of the UK but it can be sorted so keep calm. Do the SOA and get back to us.More than Two Years in
