Those Libservative tax policies in full

1. We're holding to our commitment not to force big business to pay any more tax
2. We're holding to our commitment to pay of the deficit by tomorrow lunchtime
3. That means you ordinary peons will pay more tax whilst your employers plead poverty.

The "jobs tax" position always meant that if big business wasn't to contribute their share of the cash, the rest of us will have to stump up more.Nice one Nick!

Labour caused the damage. Is blaming the builders who are coming in to clean up the mess now the official labour party policy. My guess is 'yes'. :)
  • I don;t think anyone denied tax increases and spending cuts were coming. I just find it amusing that having told people that the NI cut was bad for business they've (surprise surprise) decided that its OK for you and me to pay extra tax but not our employers. Its going to be ordinary people footing the bankers bill, not the bankers.

Malcolm this is all we are going to get from the left for the forseeable future.

End of the day it's going to take at least 10 years to get us out of the mess that Labour have put the country in.

No, it's not in full mate, you're missing the ones about raising CGT to 40% and increasing the personal allowance in stages to £10,000...

Can you remind me which party cut CGT (to help the rich) and did a u-turn on its 10p income tax policy (to punish the poor), and doubled the inheritance tax threshold?

I'll give you a clue - they used to be a centre-left party from the 1920s to the mid 1990s...
