I heard today that soda joes has closed down. Anyone know is this true? Its one of the few places that we can use tescos deals in and i always found it a good place for the family when you consider that £2.50 of vouchers was converted to £10 spend from the menu.

My friend was there at the weekend, so it must be very recent if it has closed!

I won't miss it........ Went there once and never went back, we didn't even finish our meal.... maybe they were having a bad day?!0

I also use them for the Tesco rewards, but recently every time we went, they mentioned at the door that they wouldn't take credit cards, a sure sign there is a problem.
I'll also be sad if it has closed down.
Cheers, Des.0 -
heading to the storm cinema kids club tomorrow so will check it out and let you know. Hope it is open as we still have vouchers and could get lunch there0

As someone else said above the food is not the nicest in this place. Me and my companion had went there a few months ago and used the tesco clubcard vouchers. The food was very poor and our bill had came to a bit over the £20 vouchers but they tried to pull a fly 1 by saying i'd only handed them a ten pound note when in fact it was a £20 note but what shocked me afterwards was hearing the staff laughing about it and saying they'd done the same to a few people and had made some money out off it.
Also they had mentioned then too about credit cards not being used. I think it's very cheap quailty food they are using but not cheap prices. I'm not saying all the staff are like that though just a few but I suppose you get them everywhere.0 -
sorry to hear your experience, i always found the staff very friendly and helpful. As for the food we usually went for the platter that contained chicken, ribs onion rings wedges and more. Always more than enough for 3 people, cost £9.95 so £2.50 in vouchers so couldn't complain.0

I have had the same experience as you, never again!
I won't miss poor service, substandard food and rude staff, sorry but this is what I experienced :mad:0 -
Seems to be 50/50 split of love it, hate it. Checked it out today and the love its will be pleased its still open! However nice server said it was taken over last week. Stll doesnt take credit cards but thats not a prob to us tesco voucher diners. Unfortunatly we didnt stay today as they only had an events menu. mainly consisted of burgers and chips in many variations. Apparantly Rod Stewart is in Odyssey tonight but as this was just after 1pm and the centre was full of family cinema goers and there was not a fan in sight, it seemed a odd. Server said we were the 5th family to leave.0
