Lowell Portfolio I

Hi

I had a debt with Cetelem that we were paying via our CCCS plan. I have just received a letter from a company called Lowell Portfolio I saying they have bought the debt from Cetelem (or Cetelel UK as they misquote it on the letter). Cetelem were hopeless at trying to negotiate with, they made things very difficult and having read a post on here about someone who had problems with Lowell regarding a non-existant Sky debt I am a bit worried about their collection tactics. I've let the CCCS know that Lowell have bought the debt, and emailed Lowell to advise the situation, with a copy of our CCCS budget to follow in the post. They did call my home number when I wasn't there and my wife said they sounded a bit stroppy.

Does anyone know any more about this company, had any recent dealings with them etc?

Everything had been settled for a few months and this week I've passed my accountancy exams - I'm worried now that it's all going to be stirred up again.

Cheers in advance

S

  • Hiya hun,

Lowell and generally ok once they have all the info they need for CCCS, they can be a but stroppy on the phone but just tell them your with CCCS, give them your reference number and hang up. They will get everything they need from us in the next few days.
