Hi, I have a probelm that i am not receiving the days i am working (duty rota)untill a week before the dates it contains.
for example as i am not working untill friday i will find out on friday if i am working on the monday 16th, there has been a main policy from the top saying that rota should be done 6weeks beforehand 8 weeks preferably.

normaly a month will be brought out and then runs down to a week and this keeps happening. I dont care what i work but i need to know what im working i have a life and so does everyone else that i work with and it is getting everyones back up. collegues have spoken to the managers about this but they say they are trying thier best!

also after being in the job 6 months i am ment to get a pay rise however i have not received this nor other staff in my position the others i have spoken to have said our managers dont/wont give this payrise, now this is being taken up by the union.

i am looking how to approach this situation with my managers as i cant afford to loose the money i am entitled to as none of use can. the situation of rota is affecting my home life as my partner is part of a club who do things at the weekend and he asks if im working say next weekend and i dont know so i say he should go becasue sods law if i say stay home this weekend ill be working and its getting veryannoying

any advice greatly reiceved

Can the rotas not be emailed to you at home as soon as they are completed? That would not be enough, but it would be an improvement.

What does your union say about this issue?

You and all your colleagues need to arrange a meeting with the management to discuss 'how to develop and manage rota systems'.
