I don't browse around the supermarket any more.

I have a list and I buy what is on the list and no more. I know from my menu plan that if I buy all that is on the list I WILL have enough food to feed us for a week. Even if something gorgeous is on special offer I don't buy it because we will survive without it.

I do this once a week, I have milk delivered but occassionally have to top up with a pint from the local shop and again I don't browse.

So if you're in a supermarket and some nutter charges past with a list, looking neither to left or right it'll be me!

I suppose the question to ask when you look at something is "Do I NEED this or do I simply WANT it?" If it's the latter I don't buy.

    HILARIOUS:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I thought I was the only one doing a "Supermarket Sweep". On a good week I can do LIDL, Tesco's, Boots and one charity shop during the 40 mins my son is at his dance class. Nooooooooo time for extra spendies.

I totally agree with the posters who suggest not taking extra cash/cards. I just went to the library, obviously without any money, but of course they had a book sale on!!! Ok, so I just got the books I wanted reserved and I'll go and pay for them tomorrow, but ALSO - was absolutely starving on the way home, but because I didn't have any money I couldn't nip into BK and had to wait and have something when I got back.
We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment
