  • I would move accounts asap!!!

I opened an Alliance & Leicester account last night, for which I get £50 for doing it via quidco, and they have a years 0% overdraft, and 9 months 0% credit card. The interest on balances is much much better than any other high street bank, and I'm hoping that my transition will be smooth!!

I've also got a Nationwide account that I have never had problems with, but I agree with Dr Shoe's renaming of my oldest bank account NitWits indeed they are, I phoned yesterday to move my direct debit for my natwest loan to my nationwide account so that all my dd's come from one place, and they said it HAS to come from a natwest acc.............what eejits.........so they are basically saying people without natwest accounts can't take out their loans......what rubbish, it doesn't mention that on any paperwork!!

Change accounts asap, complain loudly and to the highest person you can that you were not made aware of the charges for having a balance in credit, and how disgusted you are with their idea of service!!
I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true

… It’s become apparent that there’s quite a number of us out there being conned by Lloyds!

Gone are the times when customer service and satisfaction are paramount to this financial institution. Oh yes …personal service still exists; however, this isn’t for you and I – “the customer”. Personal service only relates to the account manager managing your finances, by ensuring they meet their personal sales targets, moving your money to accounts not requested and by doing this, then appearing as though they have “sold” new business ... thus ensuring themselves a nice fat bonus in their pay packet for doing so!!!!

I have threatened taking this to the ombudsman, however, as I am merely a pebble in the ocean to Lloyds - ONE CUSTOMER … they did not seem phased by the threat.

So its about time we the customer claimed mutiny on these so called banks by shouting more, standing up for our rights and lastly if that doesn’t work - walking with our feet and money!

Loyalty to banks, credit card companies etc., is a fools paradise!
