People on benefits should not be given money

I've just been made redundant.. and I'm trying to get anything I can to keep me going until I get another job or my income insurance policy pays out.
It's not easy you know!
Any money I get will be for rent/bills/food.. I don't drink or smoke.
Some people are so short sighted when it comes to the 'benefit scroungers' term..9/70lbs to lose0 -

Plus, you have to challenge such views imo...
he's let me down in the last few weeks. i thought that he would of at least put forward the idea of chemical castration and sterilisation for people on benefits.
do you think this is a reasonable option Mr White Horse?0 -
i can't believe your giving forum space to this thread - the best way is not to post anything on this thread.0

Sure I agree that people shouldn't get benefits if they don't want to work, but this idiot Whitehorse has such nonsensical views that I really do worry if he's typical of Tories and how they see people. How the hell do these "let's !!!! people over" views fit in with "mending broken Britain"? There are plenty of people on benefits through no fault of their own too you know. They're not all scroungers.
Trouble is, there are many who are doing very well on benefits as a lifestyle choice and the ones that are hit hardest are the ones that are on benefits thru no fault of their own. It need tightening up so those in true need can be properly looked after.0 -

agreed, however for those who have hit hard times
how does this sort of attitude (eg the OP) make them feel?
especially as time are tough just now and jobs are sparse regardless of what some will say0 -
I know of many on benefits who are claiming so much that they cannot afford to work.
Thy would need to earn over £40,000 pa to have the same lifestyle.
N.Never be afraid to take a profit.
Keep breathing.
Just because I am surrounded by FOOLS does not make me wise. :j0 -

OOHHH! Someone new in the top spot!

Jeremy Kyle is on on the morning...
plus if they're only recently unemployed they haven't been on the benefits gravy train long enough to afford a tv in the bedroom.;)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
