Recipes for food processor please.

Yay, got a bit a brucie bonus last month, was going to buy some ghd's but had to pay a plumber to fix my taps and was left with £20, which I decided to use to treat myself to a food processor, woohoo!! Wanted one for ages and ages. As soon as I got it I grated some onion and cheese, made cheese savoury , then made some hoummos(sp) which the boyf almost spat back out onto his plate ( ungrateful get.) I am dying to use it for a recipe, but, as I 've never ever had one before, dont know what recipes to do.
Please tell me your fave recipes, that require a food processor, I just love to press the button and make that baby go whirrrr!!
Much Obliged y'all ( friendly tip of the hat.)

  • Just spotted this - I use mine loads, itis over 20 years old but keeps on going!

I mostly use it to maks HM burgers - crumb a slice of wholemeal bread, put in my meat of choice (usually minced beef / pork / chicken /turkey, but chopped up leftovers too, or tuna), add any herbs / spices / chilli, etc. Break an egg in there and whizz it round. Not only makes burgers but meatballs and meat patties.

Aldo I do pastry in it when I'm in a hurry, 4 oz plain foulr, 1 oz lard (or white fat) 1 oz marg such as Stork + pinch of salt. Chop fat up realluy small and bung in with flour & salt. Whizz round til resembles breadcrumbs. Drizzle cold water to bind in to FP whilst it is going round - a bit trial and error to get this right, you need LESS then if making pastry by hand.

You can liquidise soups in it, puree veg / fruit, make mayo (never had much success with this), make pates and spreads (these are nice) - all sorts of things.
