                    Hi everyone,
In anticipation of starting a DMP with payplan, I applied online to open a Santander current account (with no overdraft). They requested a copy of my passport and a change of address form for a very old Abbey Nat savings account I had. That was 2 weeks ago and I have heard nothing. Also, when I phone their helpdesk they can't tell me anything and say they will ask the account opening team and will get back to me - but don't. Does it usually take this long to open an account?
Anyway, yesterday afternoon I applied online for a Natwest Step account (with no overdraft) and now wait to receive the info pack.
I have also heard good things about the Coop bank and am thinking of applying for either their Basic or 'next from bottom' current account (with no overdraft). Are 3 credit searches in 2 months too many?
Thanks

if the accounts you are applying for have no overdraft facility there should be no credit search,
makes sense since if you are having no overdraft they will not be offering you credit so no need to check your credit history
although it shouldnt take that long to set up from what i know, i wouldnt be suprise if they had 'misplaced' your detailsDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0
