Wed 12th May - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Morning people:T:T:T
Hope all ok today - I slept a bit better last night, but my tum still not happy, so probably wont go to college - haven't been in so long I feel very out of it, but cant help it:o I emailed the Chief Exec of the hospital yesterday, telling him (again) the situation (he will have a letter from me going into it!) - he replied very quickly, saying he'll get someone to look into it - fingers crossed they sort me soon - am soooooo bored of being pathetic all the time now:(

Anyway - must get my list done:
  • check banking
  • daily scratch
  • do any surveys
  • write letter asking for deferment to Uni
  • packed lunch for DD2, DD1 has money on her card for lunches, she's having hot dinner today
  • meal from plan tonight - spag bol
  • take meat out of freezer for dinner
  • washing on quickwash
  • washing to go on the line
Ok, that's all from me.HShearts11_27135.gifHShearts11_27135.gif
Have a great day everyone!
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Morning All :hello:
Kinda appropriate littlekel to be cross at not getting to use your cross trainer -well, it made me smile :o

Another NSD here too - the car I borrow is needed by the owner today so I have to stay at home ;)
So I shall use the gym equipment I got for Christmas (nothing flash like a cross trainer unfortunately, just a gym ball, mat and step thingy :p) which saves on gym membership - if I ever actually use it. :o
For supper tonight I shall make a vegetable bake and include the tired veggies too.
And I'll continue with my knitting.
I'm trying to urge myself to do some of the surveys that fill my inbox. I got a little disillusioned a few months ago when I was screened out after completing so much so many times. Please tell me they're improved?
And I'll have a go at some competitions. This should fill some time until I find out about some employment.

Have a great day everyone. :A
  • Today, I:

    • Have done my daily scratch and have got over the £10 withdrawal limit. :j
    • Will walk to a house viewing I have instead of taking the bus.
    • Will have a NSD.
    Kayleigh
PS @ Millyscarlett - Thank you for always having this thread up so early, I like to read it before I go out to try to get ideas for the day ahead. Any chance of poaching you to start the Daily Chat every morning as well? :D

Morning all. I've not been posting every day as it all seems too much effort at the moment. Why is it that the less income I have, the less motivated I am to do DFW things?:( I get a bit disheartened when I pay my "token payment" of £1 to one of my CCs and then they whack on £21 interest - how DFW is that???

Rant over - on with the day!

    So far:
    • run DW overnight on cheap rate electricity
    • checked banking
    • checked for surveys
    • been accepted to trial new product - arriving Friday!
And I will (if I find the enthusiasm):
    • spend morning at allotment
    • make some biscuits/cookies/cakes
    • spend afternoon in sewing room
    • clean out chicken run in return for some eggies (we're up to 3 a day at the moment)
    • have an NSD (nothing to spend! :o)
    • spend evening messing around on here :D
Hope I don't get offered job I had interview for. The money is MUCH less than I expected for a job I'm not sure I can do. DH insists I take it though :(

Morning everyone, I found my dd yesterday and she agreed to come home for the time being until we can resolve the living situation. It was such a worry to me, so am relieved to say the least. Just hope that we can find a way to all be together without conflict so she doesn't run off again. Am tempted to go and take her for a private scan today (£60) I can't really afford it but it may make her feel more connected to the baby and therefore take better care of herself. However she is booked in for an NHS scan on Friday - advice pls ladies? I've been signed off of work for 7 days with stress (am worried about my work but at the same time I cant be there if all I'm doing is crying/worrying and I think she is more important than my job).

    Today:
    • complete yesterday's list - didn't actually do anything from it!
    • look for job vacancies
    • [STRIKE]read martin's email[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Flylady (master bedroom was ignored yesterday! I went to bed at 8 when I knew dd was safe, was soooooo exhausted!)[/STRIKE]joined at least, will do later on today
    • hm bread
    • dinner from stores
    that's it - regain some equillibrium :D

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

    My list today

    Work hard!
Moved money about to try and sort out banks/cc - with moving house we seem to have *spent* alot of money on I don't know what to be honest - I need to try much harder.
Taken money for DS external harddrive out of his account and put into CC
Made sure I don't get a charge by paying extra into CC almost at its limit
Must try and *think* about spends before just handing things over!!!!!!!!!!
    Taken lunch/brekkie to work
Walk dog later in field/beach to make sure he's happy
Do more in the garden of old house
Repot more things later after moving pots etc and not before (saves buying pots etc
Check amazon listings/ebay sales - revised prices and sold a dvd :) - sold some plants as well
    Store cupboard tea
DD to go to her club tonight
DS off on study leave - left out extra bread
Call pal from landline later and have a blether NOT on mobile
Tidy up a bit more of my bedroom and box it up - get ready for it to be cleaned
    Water conservatory/greenhouse
Plant more perennial seeds - filled trays do these later
List for new lodgers room - they arrive at end of month and must make sure they've got everything.

Thats me today! Hugs to all and cheers for the thread as always Milly :)
