tbh I wouldn't have given the stranger the uniform - don't know who they are or what dishonest intentions they had.
As for pay well I don't understand why you've gone to a solicitor - if your pay wasn't paid on the due date then its a clear case of unlawful deductions of wages which a warning letter followed, if necessary, by a claim to an employment tribunal would have sufficed.2014 Target;

How recently did you leave? Were you paid monthly? When is the normal pay date? Do you know when they prepare their payroll run? It could be that the date you left falls after they prepared a payroll so as is normal practice your final salary will be sorted when they do the next payroll run - this will also trigger your P45 and P60. If I am mistaken, a quick call to HMRC will sort out the P45 and P60 matter - they will remind them of their legal obligations (we had this with the previous boss of an employee of ours when she started). If they won't pay then yes, an ET claim would be best, it's also likely to go in your favour that you never got a written contract.
As for the random stranger, your last post:
implies to me that they are not that random?! An employer has a duty to protect your data but that does not mean that no one they employ/contract is not allowed to know where you live if that information is necessary for them to conduct their business. Let this go, it won't get you anywhere - yes sloppy admin on their part but that is not criminal and will just cloud the main issue re wages and tax.no i thought she could twist it and say i knew them already if i could name them0 -
the boss had already took the uniform so there was none to give to the strangers.
i don't work for them now so how can i take them to a tribunal for unlawful deductions? she's refusing to pay my final wages (which i have earned btw!)
You don't have to work for a company just have had an employment contract(which you did).
Call ACAS check your house insurance for employment legal cover.
Focus on the pay.
You probably need to put in an official grievenace to the comapany0
