1)When looking at NRP income do they just take their income into account or do they look at their spouses income too?
2)Also if i receive child maintenance payments do i tell HMRC on my tax credit forms?

The NRP isn't financially responsible for their partner's children, so no, they're income is not taken into account to determine the amount of child support for your children. In some cases though, they do look at the total family income from child tax credits.0

Hi NRP and spouse don't have any children, what i mean't was do they just look at his income or his wifes too?:cool:0

They would only look at his income. Her income is not meant to provide for the children of her husband's relationship with you. The financial responsibility lies with you and your husband.0

As long as the case was opened after 2003, then the income of the NRP's partner is nothing to do with the child support assessment.August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61
NSD : 2/80 -
If a NRP on CS1, then they will consider any partner included in the 'protected ' element of the assessment, also meaning, if this is not supplied wage details of any partner then an Interim Miantenance Assessment will be made, which basically gives NRP no protected/allowances. Also if NRP has a partner and live with them the PWC can apply for departure regarding the housing allowance, and then you will probably (usually) only be allocated a % of your mortgage/rent as your partner is deemed to be able to contribute
If you are on CS2, then any partner NRP has is up to them and any earnings they may have matter not a jot as it's a clear cut % of NRP income CSA are after
Also, no you do not need inform Tax Credits that you receive maintenance or child benefit.
What I do not understand is that why any PWC would be interested in taking another person's salary. who is not involved/has parental responsibility. Why should a NRPP giveup part of their income for a child who is not born to the,? Surely this is the role of the 2 natural parents.
I am a PWC and NRPP, my ex has lived with several 'ladies' over the years, but I wouldn't dream of involving them financially, why would I ? They are not a parent to the children my ex and I produced, I just do't agree that some PWC chase the NRPP to assist support their children0 -
Thanks for all replies, but was only asking about NRPP income as was told this was the case. Not looking to take NRPP hard earned cash, not even sure yet if going to claim CM as not sure if i can take the hassle that might come with it.:cool:0
