Nationwide Application - Bonus

Hi there, I have just made an application to the Nationwide for a mortgage based on a mortgage in princiapl obtained by stating a bonus. Although I have had a bonus every year with my current employer this does not form part of my contract of employment. Could this effect my application if i cannot prove this? although i can show the payment on a payslip? thanks for any advice you can provide!

No I hadn't, but have now called, didnt want to say too much in case it makes a difference! but they said that the proof would be on my P60 but I dont have my one for this year, only last years and it was a lesser bonus. am still not certain that it wont become a factor and dont want to waste time and money putting in application which could be rejected!

I spoke to the Woolwich recently and they said they would take into account 50% of any expected bonus. I imagine it would be similar for other lenders.

if your mortgage application is dependant on it, then I think you might need to be careful! but good luck!
