I Wanna - Fax Switch

I want to hookup my 'All-in-One' printer to my phone line permanently so I can receive faxes whilst I'm out. Because it's not a 'normal' fax machine, it doesn't have the ability to detect whether a call is a fax or normal phone call, hence in order for it accept a fax I need to either tell it to pick up manually, or send all unanswered calls to the machine (which obviously means people can't leave me a message if I'm out).

There used to be a product called 'Fax Friend', which I believe was discontinued some time ago. I've seen them on ebay, but they go for silly money - almost cheaper just to buy a full fax machine.

Anyone know of anything else that will do the trick?
