This has probably been posted before, but just in case...
WH Smith are offering free "Delivery to Store" which is a great way to get an online deal, in my case I just purchased a book and the price offered by WH Smith was lower than Amazon!, without the hefty delivery fee on top.
details:
We can deliver your order to more than 550 participating WHSmith stores across the UK, with Free P&P! Once your items have arrived in-store, you can collect them at your convenience.

Yes, this is great. Just to let you know though the store never called me when the book came and they basically told me that they don't bother calling people (this is Holborn in London), so don't sit at home and wait for them to let you know when it has reached the store, drop by.0

Same as MaryJane I never got a phonecall but I was in town 2 or 3 days after I placed the order so I Just popped in to collect it. Good service though apart from the no phonecall bit!0

Same with me, no email from them although i was told there would be one, only told me it was there when i kicked off almost 2 weeks later!!!
they try and say that each book is dispatched from their warehouse to the store when of course they just pull one of the shelves in the store !!!!!0 -

Thanks, I am also picking up my book at the Holborn branch! I have been waiting for a call from the store the last few days, good to know that I should go ahead and visit the store (before the book gets reshelved!)I :heart2: Waitrose0 -
Hampton Peterborough are great they phoned to let me know my books were ready for collection. Very polite & friendly staff.

My book had not arrived when I went to collect it from the store 6 days after I had received an email saying it would be in store in 5 days.
The assistant said they used to get the orderers phone number given to them and they would phone them to let them know when the book had arrived but they no longer get this information printed out on their paperwork.0 -
Ah, timely tip peeps. Ordered a couple of books on Tuesday, won't wait for call, I'll just pop in!4 May 20100

Well, from what you are saying this sounds like they are copying woolworths, who also do free delivery to any store, plus they automatically send you a text to confirm that your order has arrived in the store and ready to pick up. Sounds like woolwroths are proforming better on this occasionBegan Comping July 2014
