Anyone have a phone number or email address for someone working for CSA who can kick butt and get our case looked at and sorted out ?

Been trying to get this sorted since January, OH has DoE in place for 30% of his earnings whilst working 40 hours a week.

He was bumped down to 30 hours per work back in Jan but is still paying the higher rate ..

Payslips have been sent in but everytime he phones up, he gets someone different everytime and nothing seems to change

This situation has put us into serious financial trouble as we're stuck in a limbo waiting for CSA to backdate payments to january and then pay him back the excess.

Earning £525 whilst working 30 hours a week (at £8 ish per hour) really does SUCK.

Have you tried going through MP? Know things bit strange at moment with MP's but whoever yours is, they should be available to you as they are back to work and business as usual.

The MP's have a Parliamentary hotline direct to CSA and can get things done, clarified more quickly, worth a go, take your evidence though as it will be needed.

Just to note, some MP's are better than others, ours was Labour and was standing down, so not really interested, but best of luck, they should all be out at moment to gain our support so now may be a good time to approach

Hi bdt1 :) thanks for letting us know about the MP hotline.

Between posting this and posting now, we've fired off email via CSA website and also emailed the new local MP. Fingers crossed that something gets sorted and soon.

Well done but if I were you I would also after e-mailing MP, drop into his Office with your evidence and covering letter, whereby an MP Assistant should always be on hand on MP's behalf, just speaking from experience as know what it's like to be totally financially wiped out due to CSA inefficiencies and mistakes

Evidence ? What would we need to take or show ?

What would you put in the covering letter ?

Good luck with getting your money back! My OH has been promised his overpayment back since beginning of may last year... and our 3rd child is nearly 6 months old and still doesn't exist according to them!

If your MP is a new one then eb advised that their email address may not as yet be set up. The process of setting up email addresses for new members may not be complete until the end of the week.

Ofcourse new members may be available through non parliament.uk email addresses and those members returning should have working emails.
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.
