Best way to get catalogue agreement signature and application?

Hey guys,

does anybody know what letter I send to ask for a copy of the original agreement with the signature on for a catalogue debt?

Would this be a standard cca request with £1 cheque? xx

No. They are entitled to omit the signature from a copy sent under s77/78 CCA1974.

The next best thing is a SAR which is a photocopy / screendumps of all information they hold on you. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=30356311&postcount=22 costs £10
Even that does not always work.

Your best bet is to start with a CCA and see what you can get. Is there a reason why you want the signature. Remember CCA does not write off debt,a nd if you stop paying you will trash your credit file with a default for 6 years.

Otherwise is it a CPR(i think) which can only be done once court action has been started. Making this a last resort and dangerous route to take.

Hiya, its a dispute to a debt that could be my dads or my brothers who have the same name. Its with Lowell portfolio and they cant confirm for him! its on his credit report as a default and he disputes it so the only thing they need is the signature! x

I think I remember reading about it, have you complained to the ICO yet? It may take longer but would be the cheaper option.

A default has been placed on my report for a debt that has nothing to do with me, and since forth I am now been personally chased by debt collectors.
Otherwise SAR the catalogue for the details.
