Help! £7k in debt!!!

I need your help please, I owe the following and not sure what to do or who to turn to.

Lloyds TSB (credit card) £4000
HSBC (Overdraft now with DG Solictiors) £1000
A&L (Overdraft) £350
Littlewoods Catalogue £250
Payday Loan £500
Tax Credits (over payment) £1000

I can only afford to pay back £100 a month in total. ARGH!

Any help would be lovely.

  • Hi MortgageHelp,

Try speaking to a free debt charity like CCCS for some help. They know what they are talking about so can offer the best advice for you.

    Hope this helps :)

    Hi

Are you up to date with repayments on these items so far (aside from the overdraft with solicitors)?
The first piece of advice would usually be to draw up a financial statement of affairs to see your full situation. http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html If you post the results on here you may find people can suggest ways to free up other cash so you can afford more than the £100. Or at least we will see your full situation to see what solution might work for you.

Have you been in touch with any of the debt charities? - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2077631

  • Hi,

Do you know what the interest rates on the cards are? You can then see what you need to pay off first!
