Unsecured loan 3000 to get married

hi guys

first post but need some help if you guys have a sec.

im getting married and have been struggling to save enough and the second job ive got isnt making me as much as id hoped.

im really hoping to get a 3k unsecured loan to pay back over 2 years, i can provide a guarantor but they are not a home owner unfortunately although their credit rating is top notch unlike mine which is terrible.

can you guys recommend anywhere worth trying that wont rip me off I accept there will be a higher rate involved, but hope to pay it off sooner to save some money.

thanks guys

    Hi

What do you mean in terms of your rating is terrible? do you have defaults? CCJs? missed payments?

Do you have any other debts or any credit accounts/overdraft etc?

The first place to try is usually your own bank (providing that you have run your account with them well).

If you are just coming to the end of a trust deed I would seriously think about scaling back your wedding plans - surely you don't want to be getting straight back into debt again. Haven't you hated being in the trust deed? would you go back there just for the sake of one day?

If you really do want to get a loan still it would be far cheaper for your guarantor to get the loan in their name and you to pay them. If they are unwilling to do this then they shouldn't be a guarantor for you either (as the risks are the same, either way if you don't pay they become liable).

I assume you will be out of the trust deed before you were planning on applying?
I suppose it depends on exactly what is shown on your credit file. But I don't know of any where that would lend £3k to someone just finished in a trust deed (even with a guarantor). Assuming it is clear from your credit file you have been in a trust deed.

There may be some subprime lenders who specialise in guarantor loans I don't know.

There are plenty of results on a google search but doubt anyone here would recommend these companies (many don't even display a typical APR).

Why not just go for a cheap wedding for a couple of hundred quid?
