Halifax and the Lost Mortgage

First of all, they should be able to ensure that you are not out of pocket as and when it's resolved. But do set aside money for full monthly payments plus the initial interest that would apply for April.
Secondly, your solicitor should confirm in writing to Halifax that the mortgage has completed. It seems likely that the way the funds were released was non-standard so the automated procedures that usually kick in after the completion date haven't happened.
That solicitor action should set the ball rolling for you though.0 -

It would appear that was the case. I am now informed that the Halifax have today sent all details of repayment to us in the post and our Mortgage has appeared on our online Halifax Bank Accounts page.
It has just amazed me that I have had to phone up numerous people to get to the point where I can start to repay my Mortgage and how uninterested Halifax were when we enquired why money has not been taken.0
