Hi guys,
If anyone fancies a giggle, Fiance, My dad and Myself spent two hours last night umming and arrrghing about wedding insurance.
Got all pepped up to go and buy it, under £20.00 what a bargain
type in details.....
COMPUTER SAYS NO. We are 20 days away from wedding, and insurance has to be bought atleast 21 days in advance - OUCH!!!!!!!
So, I am naughty for leaving it, AND, should I be afraid?!?!?!
I have had visions of our lovely hotel going up in smoke now!!

Try M&S.
"You have to apply for M&S Wedding Insurance at least 14 days before your wedding – and within two years of the big day."

wow what are the odds you would miss it by one day,i would get it if i was you:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

Hi peeps,
M&S are coming out at £60!! The reason we havent bought before now is because money is so tight. If M&S do 14 day limit then there may be other cheaper ones (the two i tried were both 21 days), so may be lucky.
Thanks for the small glimmer of hope!!

when i saw you hadnt got it already the other day it did make me wonder if there was a time scale!
i would get it definitly for peice of mind
i dont know anything about prices but IMO £60 is cheap if it covers alot of things that could go wrong
have you posted on the insurance board for advice?I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
Try Ecclesiastical too (I admit I am not sure on their lead time). Look at this way - would you drive your car without insurance? Wedding insurance is a must really - you are covered for gifts, money, suppliers not turning up, illness of the key players (eg bride and groom), the venue going bust etc.0

Hi,
I'm searching for wedding insurance at the moment and came across a company called Ecclesiastical. If you google them you should find them. Sorry i'm not allowed post links with so few posts.
They specify 14 days before the wedding too. You can mix and match your requirements which may make it cheaper...
I found them on an article on You and Your wedding website
Hope this helps.0 -
Thanks for your help guys, Eccelsatial (sp?) are coming out about £39.00 for the minimum I need, but yes good on the time frame i am working with.
A company called WEddingPlan are £20.00 with the bits I need, but have a lovely clause I dont fully understand!
"can you confirm that no-one whose health could affect your wedding plans could be described as:- suffering from stress, anxiety or depression"
Arent weddings in general stressful?!?!? Ha ha.
Will probably go for this tonight (not putting it off anymore!) unless anyone has anny horror stories xxxx
Bubbles - ha ha, I cringed when I confessed to not having insurance ha ha. That'll teach me to procrastinate!!

Even if money is tight it's better to lose £60 rather than a lot more - you could go for the lowest police if you really want to save it.
Otherwise you'll be going through scenarios where it all goes a bit Pete Tong!0 -
