Loan application forms lost in post
Hi,
I applied for a personal loan of £15,000 almost a month ago from HSBC. I applied online via internet banking and was told to keep checking my internet banking messages for confirmation, which I did.
According to CreditExpert.com, a credit check was run against me on April 14th.
I continued to check my internet banking for messages regarding the loan as HSBC instructed. On May 5th, after still receiving no confirmation, I called them to see what was going on. They said they had sent the loan application forms out to me on April 19th, but I never received them. I asked them to send the forms again but they still haven't arrived yet.
The woman said I needed to submit the application promptly otherwise I risk my loan request being removed from record. Is there anyway I can request some kind of extension on the loan application as I was specifically instructed to check for messages via my internet banking, which I did. If they had told me to check my post I would have contacted them much sooner.
Can anyone advise me on what I should do?
Thank you.

Is it definately an application form and not the credit agreement they are sending you as when i applied online they never sent me any paper work just asked me to go to branch to sign the agreement.
I would pop into the branch and see if they can print it off there and then for you i did it in my lunch hr as it only takes a few minutes as long as there isnt a massive queue :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0
