Hi there,
I have just seen this job in my local area - for one day a week and it would fit in around my other job. Just wondering if anyone here had experience of this type of work? Checking fire alarms and sprinnkler systems.Training is required, you become a self-employed contractor and the pay seems good - £200 per month (says it is only 2 hours of actual work but there will be travel to and from (not remunerated). Of course there would be reports to fill in and this would be time consuming.
Thanks
Sparkly

There will be a lot of training required, as the fire/building regs are massive, not to mention learning the multitude of various systems and components of said system. Get it wrong on an inspection and your a) putting life at risk b) going to be sued for rather a lot...[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
Good to know. I have a legal background so could probably cope but it does sound quite heavygoing! I imagine then that you would have to pay for your own insurance then...not sounding so attractive!
Cheers
