    can you avoid the competition with them? They are not really being perfect, are they? They are just doing what they want to do but they need to feel like they are wonderful. That is their weakness. If you can avoid being pulled into their game, then you will be the stronger one.

    Yep, thats the irrational bit. Cos I know I don't care, or rather it doesn't matter, but its partly that it hurts Mum and that I can't go round there and say I know the game you are playing you sad !!!!! and how dare you mess around with Mum's feelings and make her feel guilty and obligated for every tiny !!!!ing thing you do and partly a whole load of other stuff to do with Dad.
