    Ah, chickpeas!! I've been having such trouble with these bl**dy things!! Boiling them in a pan for 3 hours!!! Last night I did it and the pan was black at the bottom!! Had to chuck loads away :eek: How do you do it in the slow cooker??? Please help me!!!

    I soak them over night.
    Boil them in some water for ten minutes and then put them in a SC with some seasoning. Last time I used lemon juice and rind, garlic, some herbs like rosemary/thyme, sage and some salt and pepper. You can then cook them on high for an hour or so until tender or on low for for about 6-8 hours.

    adding this type of flavour gives the chickpeas a great subtle flavour, so you can then use them in anything.
