Need a new exhaust for the car - but from where?

Options

Hi all. We need to replace the exhaust on our Corsa, which is just coming up to it's first MOT test - anyone any advice on a decent but inexpensive exhaust supplier and fitter please? We live near Carrickfergus, but willing to travel to a recommended supplier/fitter. So far only had one quote of £130 inc VAT.

Cheers all!

    Hi there,

We were in same situation a few years ago - can't remember the prices but quotes were too high from the garages.

I rang around & got a cheap exhaust from a place in Sentry Lane (between Sandyknowes & the Chimney Corner so not too far from you). Anyway, we took it across the road to Charles Hurst who fitted it for a reasonable price. All in all we saved quite a bit. Hope this helps

ps be careful that you get the exact spec for the exhaust as i remember there was something funny about ours & it took a few phone calls to check it all out.

Have been to Dee's before he is very good.

Did you try https://www.eurocarparts.com ? They were really cheap when I needed a new Cat for my car...

havent used kwikfit in ages as they were such poor quality (cheap though)
Got an exhaust from Dees and it was very good. Also Gilnahirk tyres and exhausts but its a fair bit out of your way.

Dee's are very good. Reasonably priced and good quality. Only had to use them once, but would go back to them again.

    Hope this helps.

Just a question how long does your vehicle warranty last? some go to three years. Normally exhaust would be a servicable item paid for by the customer, but if it has a three year warranty is still worth asking and also call Vauxhall customer service. As it is always worth try

If the car is due its first mot, does that not make it four years old?

i'd have thought an exhaust is a servicable item full stop, so wouldnt be under warranty anyway.

For those reading this from the craigavon area, i'd strongly recommend Canavans tyres and exhausts in lurgan.
