Coat hangers FREE!!!!!!!

Was in my localJJB today and they had rails and rails of coat hangers with a sign saying 'take what you want- no purchase necessary"

So I got 2 bag fulls.

I was wondering if this is a common thing at all shops, and if anyone knew any other stores that do this, especially for childrens hangers.

Always worth asking in store as I've worked in clothing retail for years and the stores I worked nearly always ended up throwing out hangers and would rather give them away but weren't allowed to advertise/set up a box on shop floor
Would you destroy something perfect in order to make it beautiful?

Every time I buy clothes I ask if I can have the hanger and I have never been refused.

I would say it is always worth asking.

    ;)
