I am looking for some Mortgage advice please

We bought our house 3 years ago for £110K and had an £80K Mortgage having put down a £30K Deposit (initially it was a 25Year Mortgage)

As of today, our mortgage has 9 years 8 months to run as I have increased the monthly payment from £ 475, to £ 575 last year and £775 this year.

We are currently on Abbey nationals standard Variable rate (which is about 4.5%)

We have been around some of the High Street lenders but cannot seem to get much of a better rate.

Any one any advice or names of company's we can try to get a better rate from?

I am open to most types of Mortgage but would I be able to overpay on a fixed rate as much as I can on a variable ?
