Fantastic, I really enjoyed reading that. Very best wishes in the business and thanks for the inspiration
  • Loved your post :D – it really cheered me up as I was feeling a bit down yesterday.
Your home is at risk if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or other loan secured on it.
  • I found my way here after reading the nominations for post of the month and I may say your story was lovely and has inspired me to do more home baking. Feeling abit down at the mo so that your thread was nice to read.

Thanks for your post. It was inspiring and reminded me why I wear my OS badge with pride when I all so often seem to be doing the opposite of those around me!!

Loved your posts:D they made me laugh and have left a smile across both my and my OH face.

In many ways i am very new at this OS life but i am enjoying it so much and its benefits most of which are so much more than just saving pennies, even if that was the main reason most of us first came here.

My daughter is always laughing and asking if i what i am doing is something of the OS board and today i pointed out to her that when she finally leaves home she will be so much luckier than most of her friends. Why, she asked, i replied because you will be able to cook real food cheaply, kepp yourself and your home clean and organised and looking good and you will hopefully have a good understanding of what is important in life and how to make your money work hard for you. She just smiled but i know some of it will rub of.

Today we spent hours out in the woods, enjoying the changing face of nature and picking blackberries, plums and apples. Being tired and not getting home until 5.30 i wondered if i was upto making a roast, a few months ago i would have just put something easy on. But i decided no and so a roast dinner was cooked, H/M yorkshires and gravy and so on, plus whilst that was all in cooking i made an upside down pudding with some of our freshly picked blackberries for afters. It took more effort and time but it was a wonderful dinner and i wonderful reminder of why i love being OS:D

I wonder if the bank managers wife is at home cooking up some of that malt loaf in her swish kitchen;)
