I have given you feedback. You have no options, you are in a corner and, unless you can provide further detail, you have no grounds for complaint.
as I am sure Martin would not approach someone financial situation in the way which some of you have and therefore you are breaking what he meant for this forum and site to be for users.
Report me and ask him to boot me off then. I've responded to your post point by point and asked other questions to fully establish your situation. You've answered none of them.

You still haven't clarified in what way you have been discriminated against.

The responses to your post were fair and valid. You are emotionally attached to the scenario whilst others here are not. In this forum you get told exactly how it is. You wont get cuddles and told "there there, its going to be ok, the nasty old A&L are wrong" when they have done nothing wrong.

To be honest, I didnt respond on your thread until now as I thought you were a regular taking the mickey under a false username (especially with your sarcasm point at the end). I mean claiming discrimination did look like a joke.

The facts are that you have the mortgage and terms that you agreed to. They dont have to offer you a new deal. The equity situation is really not that much of an issue from A&Ls point of view apart from it keeping you off the best deals. It does stop you going elsewhere though. If you doubt their valuation, ask them if they will accept an independent valuation from a surveyor that you will pay for. That may reduce (or increase) it by a few percent but it wont be enough.

Your mortgage payments are cheap and if you are going to start defaulting then its not the fault of A&L and nothing to do with not being able to buy a new deal. Indeed, you may well find most of the deals would increase your monthly mortgage payment.

What rate were you on before you started paying the SVR?
  • It really is quite comical to see how childish some people can be - and how much time they must have to waste time typing irrelevant garbage as a reponse.

unfort there is no way to close a thread here - so I am suspending my account - so dnt bother replying.

But seriously dunstonh - "cuddles" - what a sensless statment - this tells me alot about your personality. I posted this thread for advice not personal attack, you are quite correct that I am emotionally attached - you must be a detective right? So that is why I wanted some clear advice about what options I had.

Again - hats off to Conrad - who gave a very clear repsonse - as for most of the other reponses - get over yourselves and try and help someone on another thread.

    gd bye.

You did not come on here to ask for advice.
Your first post was just about how you are a "victim" and how A & L are unfairly discriminating against you.
You did receive some advice which was basically that there was nothing you could do apart from keep going and hope things improved.
As it was not what you wanted to hear you decided to throw your toys out of the pram.
You cannot spend your whole life blaming others every time you make a bad decision.

ah but two keystrokes today, perhaps three tomorrow and in a couple of years there's enough keystrokes saved to write a horrible letter to A&L.

Now if he'd done that with pounds then ?

Now you might have had a claim but I've just noticed the number of keystrokes you've used and. Sorry!

If only you had saved some, then things could have been a whole lot better.
