Slats from louvre doors

What can I make with them? Someone gave us 2 doors but they don't fit anywhere in the house. We broke them up and have loads of slats, they're 12" x 1". I thought about making planters for the garden but would rather do something more exciting

Make room door plates with them if you're at all arty- Mary's room, teenager's room-no entry / no smoking household/whatever and give them to people as presents/stocking fillers at Christmas.
OR just use them to stir paint.
OR give them to a toddler to play with as long as they have no splinters on them.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

We've just got rid of a drum kit
My kids (both teenagers) are driving me INSANE at the moment. I may revert back to being a toddler and use them on upside down saucepans. It's either that or use them on the kids
